NALOLO Constituency Member of Parliament IMANGA WAMUNYIMA says over 40 projects funded using the expanded Constituency Development Fund (CDF) have been completed awaiting commissioning across the District.

Mr WAMUNYIMA says the projects which have been done in all the 10 Wards in Nalolo Constituency have been implemented using the 2022 and 2023 expanded CDF.

He has described the enhanced CDF as a game-changer because of the positive impact it has created in rural communities through construction of health facilities, schools, staff houses, flushable toilets at public schools and installation of solar powered water reticulation systems at public facilities among others.

The Lawmaker was speaking when he featured on an inaugural sponsored programme on Oblate Radio Liseli dubbed ‘Nalolo Constituency CDF-Hour’ on Friday night.

The objective of the sponsored Radio Programme which will be airing every Friday from 19:00 hours to 20:00 hours is to enlighten Nalolo residents on the achievements, impact and success stories recorded under CDF funding in the communities.

Away from CDF funding, Mr WAMUNYIMA said Government plans to set-up a 50 megawatts solar plant in Nalolo District in view of the drought situation to stabilize power supply to accelerate economic activities in the area.

He said President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is expected in Nalolo District soon to commission the solar power plant project.

Mr WAMUNYIMA also said Government will soon start working on the Kalabo-Kalongola Road to enhance accessibility to the West Bank to improve service delivery to the people.

He also said Nalolo Boarding Secondary School which is at about 90 percent completion stage will next year be partially opened to shorten the distance children cover to access secondary education in Nalolo District.

Speaking during the same radio programme, Nalolo Town Council (NTC) planner Saili Inambao urged Nalolo residents to utilize the Ward Development Committees (WDCs) to apply for community projects and other empowerment funds under CDF.
