United Party For National Development founding member Mr Lovemore Kanyama has appealed to both the state police and political players in Chirundu and Siavonga constituencies not to treat each other as enemies but rather as developmental partners.
Kanyama further condemned the beatings and violence that took place during the Njame ward by-election in Chirundu district, but he was quick to appeal to the police to always apply Minimal Force as they deal with political players .
He said that by-elections must not bring enemity between the police and political players, he said in elections everyone is aiming to win hence the need of those mandated to maintain peace and order to always apply Minimal Force and professionalism.
Kanyama was speaking to a reporter via telephone interview on what advise he is giving to both the state police and political players on election violence that took place in Njame ward of Chirundu district.
