PRESIDENT HICHILEMAS CORRUPTION FIGHT CHANGES ZAMBIA’S FACE

Governance and Development Advocates Zambia has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for allowing the probes in suspected corrupt practices in his new dawn Government by dissolving the Anti Corruption Commission Board.

Executive Director Elias Mulenga said that this shows how transparent and responsive the Republican President is in the management of running a corrupt free Government.

Mr Mulenga said whistle blowers on matters relating to Corruption matters,boards and senior Government officials should always be strict with their whistles to proof and not on mare speculations.

Mr Mulenga says Corruption matters should always be two sided as the damages caused are irreparable and they boarder on serious life consequences as such whistle blowers should always be available with proper documented evidence when the probes are underway.

Mr Mulenga said it is very embarrassing to the President to subject board members of his at ACC to investigative wings and when they get to court they get acquitted for ensurficient evidence and or non appearance of the whistle blowers.

Mr Mulenga warned that whistle blowers with intent to subject the new dawn Government to failure is making the President to make rush decisions as his interests is that which favours Zambians and prejudices the vulnerable victims a situation that may make the new dawn Government unpopular.

Mr Mulenga has urged members of the public to be on the lookout on all corrupt practices everywhere not only focusing on Government officials,institution, but private sectors as well and in the entire business communities.

Mr Mulenga has since commended the former ACC Director General THOM SHAMAKAMBA on the lead role he took to resign he has shown masses that he has nothing to hide but provide a proper platform for easy of investigations of the alleged corrupt practices allegations levelled against him.

Mr Mulenga has called for calm in the nation over the unexpected blow punch that the nation has faced and has commended the President and his cabinet for the bold brave decision taken.
