101 wells Chlorinated, 268 pit latrines limed in Yotam Muleya Ward for Cholera preventive measures.

Chililabombwe Municipal Council has chlorinated a total of 101 wells and Chlorinated 268 pit latrines in Yotam Muleya ward in a bid to combat/prevent Cholera outbreak in the area.

The Local Authority for the past one month (8th January to date ) has embarked on this exercise alongside other Cholera sensitization programs in the district to prevent Cholera and raise awareness of Cholera preventive measures.

The Council would like to urge members of the public to continue practicing good hygiene standards to prevent Cholera outbreak.

All members of the public are hereby advised to follow guidelines and all safety measures of Cholera prevention.

Further, the Local Authority is informing all that we will continue conducting the Chlorination exercise in all the Wards within the district.

And the Council will additionally disinfect more Schools today on 14th February 2024.
