Kanchibiya member of Parliament Sunday Chanda wrote;
Kanchibiya Constituency has experienced floods over the past few days. Kanchibiya sits within the rain belt.
Over 100 households have been affected and in need of shelter and food in Munikashi Ward, Lulingila Ward, Chinama Ward and Mbati Ward. Health facilities like Kabinga Rural Health Centre in Kabinga has not been spared. Roads and bridges have not been spared too.
We are working with RDA in Muchinga as well as DMMU to ensure the crisis is averted. We need to urgently provide culverts, other building materials and Banana boats for the affected areas.
