30 cooperatives have today received a total sum of three point four million , ninety six thousand and four hundred and Sixty three Kwacha (K3.496, 463.11) under the 2024 CDF allocation.
Speaking at the Handover ceremony Chililabombwe Area Member of Parliament who is also the Minister of Mines and Minerals development Hon. Paul C.Chanda Kabuswe said that he was elated that development through Constituency Development Fund is reaching grassroot levels.
The area Mp added those in receipt of the funds should ensure that they pay back on time for others to equally benefit in future.
” You will be unfair to the next cooperatives making applications if you refuse to pay back ,” he said.
Meanwhile Chililabombwe Deputy Mayor said todays ceremony is a testament that CDF is working in Chililabombwe.
And chililabombwe District Commissioner Ms Precious Njekwa commended Chililabombwe Councils commitment , accountability and transparency in disbursing CDF.
The CDF chairperson Pastor Steven Kaase said the event is a great achievement for the district and appreciated the New Dawn Government for walking the talk by bringing development to the district.
Chililabombwe Town Clerk Mrs Shilla Songolo called for all recipients to utilize the funds prudently.
