15 CHRISTMAS BABIES RECEIVES HAMPERS AT KAKOSO AND LUBENGELE CLINIC AND KONKOLA COPPER MINE HOSPITAL.

His Worship the Mayor Mr Lucky Sichone has today 25th December 2023 presented 15 baby hampers to Christmas babies born at Kakoso and Lubengele Clinic and Konkola Copper Mine Hospital.

During the presentation of gifts the Mayor thanked Health workers for the commendable job they are doilng in safeguarding lives and ensuring safe deliveries of babies.

Mr Lucky Sichone disclosed that government is working on the clock to complete and open the District Hospital to address some challenges such as lack of adequate space for patients at small health facilities.

And Kakoso Acting Nurse in charge Abigail Mwandila thanked the Mayor and the entire Council management for the kind gesture extended to the mothers and the newly born babies at the health facility.

His Worship the Mayor Mr Lucky Sichone further distributed assorted items at One Way Mission orphanage Centre Courtesy of Shoprite Super Market.

The Mayor alongside staff from Chililabombwe Shoprite distributed various food and cleaning items to the center as a way of celebrating christmas with the children.

One Way Mission Orphanage Director Mrs Sakala when receiving the items recalled how the children where expectant to receive gifts through the office of the Mayor as they do so yearly.

Mrs Sakala thanked the Mayor for always looking out for the children and ensuring that they too celebrate such an important event.
