United Party for National Development (UPND) Ndola District Chairman Mr Onesmus Mudenda today donated hampers to the newly born Chrismas babies at Twapwa Clinic and Nkwazi Clinic in Chipulukusu compound in Ndola on the Copperbelt Province.
Mr Mudenda who is also Ndola business man trading under the name of Omus Group of Companies told the press that he came up with the initiative to pamper the newly born babies with hampers as a way of contributing towards Corperate Social responsibility (CSR) to those who may be going through difficult times in the communities.
He added that the festive season is a time of giving back to the community as people around the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The UPND Ndola District Chairman said that as people celebrate Christmas ,let them remember and share whatever little they have to those who don’t have as a sure way of showing love .. adding that Jesus Christ did the same and that is how mankind is supposed to be saved.
Meanwhile Twapia Nurse in Charge Cleopatra Gambwe and Nkwazi Clinic Nurse in Charge Medrine Chella both thanked Mr Mudenda for donating Christmas hampers to the newly born Chrismas babies.
Later, in the day Mr Onesmus Mudenda and his entourage went down in the street of Ndola Central Business(CBD) where he fed over hundred street kids.
Mr Mudenda said as a Christian, he believes and uphold this conviction: “the highest standard of moral excellence ever set before man is found in Christ and every person should emulate Jesus Christ by clothing the naked ;feed the hungry; employ the unemployed; educate the uneducated from under privileged families and supplement government efforts in our society” The NDOLA District UPND Chairman said.
Mr Mudenda added that we should all emulate Jesus Christ by feeding the needy in our society especially in times like festival season.
The Ndola District UPND Chairman further promised to continue carrying out other various community works around Ndola as part of his Company’s Corperate Social responsibility (CSR) to supplement government efforts which is in line with UPND New Dawn Government policy.
Twapia Clinic recorded four Christmas babies while Nkwazi Clinic in Chipulukusu compound of Ndola recorded two and counting.
