Chililabombwe Municipal Council through the department of Housing and Social Services and Development Planning has allocated about 103 trading spaces for Booth/ Containers owners that have been trading along CBD area in Chililabombwe District.
The Council has also allocated 28 trading spaces to vendors who were trading illegally along Kasumbalesa road on the road reserve earmarked for construction by Avic International.
The Local Authority wishes to convey a message of gratitude to vendors that are cooperating with the ministerial directive to move back to designated markets.
The Council will continue to allocate spaces as the exercise is ongoing.
And one of Booth traders (CBD area) who has been allocated space within Kakoso Market has thanked the Council for the allocation and the time frame given to the Booth owners to move their booths from CBD area to the designated Markets.
Ms. Naomi Mwila disclosed that the move is welcome as the current trading area poses a threat to their lives as it is prone to accidents.
The vendors trading along CBD have been given until Friday to move their Booths and Containers from CBD area to Kakoso Market.
Thanks for breaking this down into easy-to-understand terms.
