University of Zambia staff have asked government to stop intimidating them over what belongs to them.
Addressing the media this morning on behalf of all affected staff, UNZAPROSU president Likezo Pumulo has insisted of a full payment of their money and vowed not to be silenced by anyone.
Mr. Pumulo has since asked government to come with money not guns for intimidation adding that they are not scared of anyone for claiming what belongs to them.
According to likezo, last Friday people claiming to be from cabinet (special duties division) stormed UNZALARU offices intimidating them.
However, the three trade unions had a meeting last week with the labour commissioner but nothing positive came out. Union leaders are now having a meeting with management while members are waiting for the outcome at the graduation square.
Meanwhile, school has resumed today but staff have clearly indicated that they will continue protesting without any form of intimidation.
