The International Fund of Agricultural Development -IFAD- has committed to support Zambia with seven million dollars which is additional financing for the Enhanced Smallholder Livestock Investment Programme -E-SLIP.
IFAD Vice President for Corporate Services, GUOQI WU says the financing is for the next two years of the project.
Mr GUOQI says the United Nations agency has been encouraged to finance the extension of the programme as it has so far significantly transformed many smallholder livestock farmers in Zambia.
Speaking in an interview with NAIS in Chongwe district, Mr. GUOQI said the extension of the programme will help more smallholder farmers enhance their livestock productivity.
