CUTS International has been deeply involved in key areas such as debt restructuring, public finance management, parliamentary oversight, climate change, trade, and regional integration.

Mr. Nair highlighted that the Economic Summit aligns with CUTS International’s strategic goals and offers a valuable platform for key stakeholders in Zambiaโ€™s economic sectors.

He called on all stakeholders to engage in the summit, as it provides an opportunity to discuss critical issues like post-debt restructuring, domestic and resource mobilization, and prioritizing sectors such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and the informal sector.

He stressed the importance of constructive conversations on economic policies to reignite growth, stating, “CUTS International considers this an opportunity to discuss post-debt restructuring, domestic and resource mobilization, including challenges, and prioritize sectors such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and the informal sector. We need conversations around our economic policies that should bring back the key issue of economic growth.”
