Back-to- Back wins for Zesco United

ZESCO United registered a second consecutive win after dispatching the ‘new kids on the block’ Mutondo Stars at Arthur Davies stadium to move level on points with log leaders Red arrows.
It was a tightly contested match that was settled by goals from Kambole and Sakala both goals scored in the second half. ZESCO United is coming from a win against Arrows in midweek and the victory put the team on track to compete for the league title and qualification for ABSA cup.
Even with key players missing in Kampamba and Kapumbu, the boys were able to step up and end ire that Maximum points were collected. Mutondo Stars put up a spirited fight and got their consolation through Chisha Kampamba and could have easily score two or three goals in the match but the ZESCO United solid defence and the keeper limited their chances.
ZESCO United will to go into the international break level on points with league leaders Red Arrows who have a superior goal difference. It’s tight at the top as three teams in Arrows, ZESCO United and Nkwazi are all on 22 points.
