31 PROHIBITED IMMIGRANTS DETAINED IN SERENJE DISTRICT

Serenje District authorities have detained 31 prohibited immigrants.

The group was intercepted by security forces while travelling in a truck bound for South Africa.

Serenje District Commissioner, Paul Masuwa has emphasized the vigilance of the local police service and Immigration officials in combating illegal immigration.

He has since issued a stern warning to Zambians involved in facilitating such activities, urging them to cease their involvement immediately.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the Zambia Police Service and the Immigration officials in Serenje to maintaining strict surveillance and taking decisive action to eradicate any form of illegal activity.

Mr. Masuwa said this in an interview with Freelance Journalist Bangwe Naviley Chisenga.
