Business and Political Analyst Francis Chipili has urged citizens to sue the National Road Fund Agency owing the roads that have become death traps across the country.
In a statement this morning, Mr. Chipili observed that road accidents across the country are happening on a daily basis.
He said the condition of all major roads in Zambia is so pathetic that a caring Government would declare it a national disaster.
Mr. Chipili since attributed Road carnages in the country to Government’s negligence.
He said it was very clear that the Zambian Government has neglected it’s responsibility to construct as well as maintain roads.
The Business and Political Analyst affirmed that since the NRFA was established citizens have paid billions of Kwacha into the fund yet, they have not seen any meaningful works of the agency’s road repair works.
“Enough is enough the Zambian people must immediately sue both the government and the NRFA for the neglect of duty of care. Citizens must equally immediately boycott paying for the toll fees as the fund has not been utilized for it’s intended purposes.” Mr. Chipili said
Mr. Chipili’s comment came after the tragic passing of popular comedian and MC Bright Sinkala who died yesterday in a horrific traffic accident that occurred on Great North Road.
