ZESCO TO FACE RELEGATION BOTHERED TRIDENT

ZESCO United Football Club is set for their MTN Super League week-16 away battle against Trident FC scheduled for 15:00 hours at Nkana Stadium on Saturday.

Head Coach George Lwandamina’s side will be looking to extend their 5 games unbeaten run as well as target maximum points since the team’s 1all draw, courtesy of a Lazarous Kambole’s equalizer against City rivals Forest Rangers in last Saturday’s Ndola Derby played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

ZESCO United is leading the log table with 29 points, priding themselves of a clear 3 points gap above 2nd placed Red Arrows Football Club with 26 points.

Trident who are yet to record their first win of the season after week-15 are placed bottom on the log table with 10 points accumulated from 10 draws.

“Trident are looking for their first win, it will be a tactical game, a win will make us remain on top,” stated ZESCO United’s Assistant Coach Tenant Chilumba in an interview with ZESCO United Media Team. He further mentioned that ZESCO United has already qualified for ABSA CUP therefore, the team’s main objective is to win this season’s league title by widening the gap at the top.

ZESCO United’s midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu gave his thoughts on the game via a video interview just before the team’s final morning training session as he cautioned his fellow players.
