PS Kawana in Southern Province to sensitise civil servants regarding the recently signed ATI law.

Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana is in Southern Province to sensitise civil servants regarding the recently signed Access to Information (ATI) law.

✅Mr. Kawana started his visit by paying a courtesy call on Southern Province Permanent Secretary Dr. Namani Moonze where he expressed concern regarding poor publicity of developmental projects under the Constituency Development Fund, across the country.

✅Mr. Kawana has since encouraged the local authorities across the country to always work with the media especially ZANIS whenever they are visiting and monitoring CDF projects to help highlight the successes scored under the Fund.

✅Mr. Kawana said Government has done a lot through CDF which must be highlighted for the public to appreciate its efforts.

✅Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary has revealed that ZNBC Radio 1 will carry Live commentaries of all the 52 AFCON games in all the 7 official local languages which is Bemba, Nyanja, Lozi, Tonga, Luvale, Lunda and Kaonde.

✅Mr. Kawana further revealed that his office has this morning written to all pay TV service providers not to disconnect ZNBC on their platforms during the period of the AFCON.

✅He since encouraged citizens to tune in ZNBC Radio 1 and TV1 to enjoy Live matches in their local languages.

✅He further stated that his office has also requested the service providers to reconnect ZNBC to all those whose subscriptions expired.
