LUSAKA, ZAMBIA, August 12 – Dr. Brenda Bukowa has been appointed as the new Head of Department (H.O.D) for the Media and Communication Studies Department at the University of Zambia (UNZA), a prestigious role that highlights her significant contributions to the field of communication both in Zambia and internationally.

Dr. Bukowa is an accomplished academic with a robust educational background. She holds a PhD in Communication from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, a Master’s Degree from the University of Oslo in Norway, and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA). Additionally, she has earned a Postgraduate qualification from Ohio University in Athens, USA, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

With over a decade of experience, Dr. Bukowa has earned international acclaim as a Communication Consultant, Entrepreneur, and Media Guru. Her career has been marked by significant achievements, including her previous role as Head of Public Relations and spokesperson at UNZA, where she played a key role in shaping the university’s public image and communication strategies.

Dr. Bukowa’s appointment as H.O.D is expected to bring a new era of growth and innovation to the Media and Communication Studies Department at UNZA. Her leadership is anticipated to enhance the department’s academic offerings, foster research, and strengthen its ties with the media industry.
