Chililabombwe Municipal Council has since cleared outstanding terminal benefits for retirees following a payment made by Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) PLC this week.
The Local Authority wishes to state that 2.6 million from KCM has been directed to pay retirees.
Chililabombwe Council Town Clerk Mrs Shilla Songolo has said monies paid will further be used to purchase a Fire engine.
The Local authority wishes to inform members of the public that the said service provision among others will greatly improve the capacity to respond to fire emergencies as soon as the tender is purchased.
