PRISON LEOPARDS APPOINT LAMECK BANDA HEAD COACH

Prison Leopards Football Club has appointed Lameck Banda as club’s new head coach and Bupe Chewe as one of the Assistants. Mr. Banda has been given a two year contract arising from the departure of Coach Chris Kaunda commonly known in football circles as “Mr. Takatiko”.
The new coach was unveiled yesterday 13th November, 2023 at the colourful event held at the Zambia Correctional Service Headquarters in Kabwe which was graced by Deputy Commissioner General Mr. Bwalya Kuyomba.
Prior to joining Prison Leopards FC , Banda was head coach for National division one outfit Lumwana Radiants.
He recently made huge statement in the country’s top tier football having guided FC MUZA to their maiden CAF participation as well as ABSA cup final.
Club Executive Committee Chairman, Deputy Commissioner George Sikaonga welcomed the two coaches to the Leopards family and implored them to work together with other members of the technical bench.
“I just want to welcome you coaches to this big family. I must mention to you that we are happy to have you around and we are very hopeful that with your coming and also with the support from the sponsors we are going to do wonders. First of all, our immediate target is to move the team from the relegation zone to a safer position”, said DCP Sikaonga.
Meanwhile Coach Banda thanked PLFC Management and ZCS command for entrusting him with the responsibility to take charge of the team, he has since made assurance that the duo shall work together with the current technical staff to achieve the club’s seasonal objective.
Coach Banda who holds CAF licence class B begins his new role as Prison Leopards boss with immediate effect.
