The opposition Patriotic Front (PF) has suffered yet another political defeat as more than 450 of its Members this afternoon joined the UPND in Mwandi District.
The defectors who included PF District Vice Chairman, WALUBITA MUYANGWA.
Mr Muyangwa has pledged to support the UPND and recruit other members to join the party.
Defectors also Cited peace, increase of CDF, Napsa partial withdrawal and free education policy as major factors that prompted them to join the ruling Party.
Mr Muyangwa and 450 others were welcomed by UPND Western Province Chairman, Kapelwa Mbangweta and Mwandi Member of Parliament, Sibeso Sefulo Kakoma.
The meeting was also attended by Western Province Youth Chairperson, Jack Mwanga, Musole Limbekuma Vice Chairperson for Mobilisation, Memory Mubita Provincial trustee and other party officials.
