Cholera Prevention Alert in North Western Province.

Today, North Western Province Minister Robert Lihefu kicked off the Mass Clean Up programme at Kyawama, Mitec market in Solwezi, in a proactive move to curb the spread of cholera.

Accompanied by North Western Province Permanent Secretary Colonel Grandson Katambi and Ministry of Information and Media Director Spokesperson Henry Kapata, who’s inspecting government projects in the province, Mr. Lihefu stressed the importance of adhering to public health measures.

Ensuring safe drinking water is a top priority for the government in the province.

Residents, in line with Ministry of Health guidelines, are urged to have functional toilets with handwashing facilities equipped with soap or alcohol-based sanitizers.

Traders are cautioned to comply with restrictions on perishable and ready-to-eat food sales.

Avoid handshakes, hugs, and limit mass gatherings to protect yourselves and your community.

Let us work together to create a healthier and safer North Western Province and the Country at large.
