Chingola Municipal Council has procured 27 heifers and 3 bulls for Chingola Constituency CDF grant beneficiaries at a total cost of Three Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Kwacha (K347,980).
The Council’s Town Clerk, Mrs. Namukolo Kalufyanya, stated that the animals were procured under the 2023 CDF empowerment grant for 3 wards, each of which will receive 10 animals.
Mrs. Kalufyanya highlighted that the animals will benefit Ipafu Ward, Muchinshi Ward, and Mutenda Ward.
Receiving the cattle on behalf of the 3 wards, Mutenda Ward Councillor Mr. Himalila Himanansa expressed his delight at receiving the empowerment, as it will enhance economic activities and job creation in the district.
Mr. Himanansa also expressed gratitude to the government, under the leadership of His Excellency the President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and Chingola Member of Parliament, who is also the Minister for Commerce Trade and Industry, Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, for prioritizing the empowerment of every citizen.
