Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu and Permanent Secretary Chileshe Kangwa have toured the ongoing sports turf rehabilitation works at Heroes stadium.
And Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu expressed satisfaction with the swift progress of the rehabilitation works, which began just eight days after the contract was signed.
Mr. Nkandu stated that the UPND government is working tirelessly to ensure all sports disciplines receive the necessary support and value.
He said the rehabilitation is expected to last five months, is slated for completion by January, 2025, with a total cost of one million dollars.
The Minister noted that through this investment, government aims to enhance sports facilities and foster a vibrant sports culture in the country.
