Construction project of Kanamvula Rural Health Post in Mphomwa ward of Malambo Constituency in Mambwe district is progressing well.
In a statement today, Mambwe Town Council Assistant Public Relations Officer Grace Lungu said the project is being implemented at a cost of about K830,000 from the Constituency Development Fund CDF allocation.
Ms. Lungu noted that the project commenced on 10th October 2022 and had stalled throughout the rainy season as the construction site had become inaccessible.
She said contractor is however currently back on site and works have since resumed and nearing completion.
And Ms. Lungu noted that with the recent devolution of Health services to the ministry of Local Authorities, Mambwe Town Council is confident that once the project is completed the intended beneficiaries will have unlimited access to primary health care.
She said the construction project is progressing well as 99% of works have successfully being completed.
