The National Assembly of Zambia has expressed concern with the allegations made by Lumezi Constituency Independent Member of Parliament, Honourable Munir Zulu that the food he ordered at National Assembly Motel may have been laced with poison.

And National Assembly of Zambia Senior Media Liaison Officer Nshamba Muzungu said the Legislative body of Zambia takes seriously any unsubstantiated allegations that may damage the reputation of the motel and the institution at large.
Mr. Muzungu noted that the National Assembly of Zambia find the allegations by Munir Zulu not only alarming but also irresponsible.
The Senior Media Liaison Officer further stated that the National Assembly Motel has strict food hygiene procedures in place to ensure all the food we serve is safe to eat.
Mr. Muzungu has since advised Munir Zulu not to be in the habit of making unsubstantiated allegations especially considering his standing in society.
“Our staff are all carefully trained professionals who uphold high ethical standards in food handling and customer service. The food is prepared in an open space hygienic kitchen, and everything is controlled for quality so that in the very unlikely instance of anything being wrong it can be traced to source.” Mr. Muzungu said
