ECONOMISTS’ BODY CALLS FOR JOINT EFFORTS TO MAKE ECONOMY MORE RESILIENT

The Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) says there is need for collective efforts to transform the economy by leveraging sustainable and green practices. 

EAZ President Osward Mungule says the development would make the economy more resilient and inclusive for all Zambians. 

Dr Mungule says stakeholders will, therefore, dissect such issues during the much-awaited EAZ 2024 Economic Summit slated for 25th to 26th July 2024 at Ciela Resort in Chongwe District, Lusaka. 

He said the Economic Summit is a crucial event showcasing our commitment to working together with the government and stakeholders to tackle economic challenges. 

“Our aim is to drive economic recovery through partnerships and innovative strategies,” he said. 

The EAZ President said the theme of this year’s summit is “Pioneering Zambia’s Sustainable Economic Transformation through Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Financing Mechanisms after Debt Restructuring.”

Dr Mungule said the Summit will delve into the crucial topics of sustainable development, climate change adaptation, and innovative financing mechanisms.
