Bishop Joseph Kazhila has implored the New Dawn administration to improve its communication strategy for effective information dissemination.
Speaking in Ndola, Bishop Kazhila who is Life Gospel Fellowship Ministries International General Overseer, says politics is about perception and the only way to ensure that is done is through constant messaging about what is on the ground.
He adds that the only way to ensure that information about all developmental projects the government has embarked on is through effective communication.
And Glory Worship Ministries Presiding Bishop, Amos Kanyakula has called for a better social media regulatory framework.
He says this will help curb abuse of such platforms especially among the younger users.
Bishop Kanyakula observed that while media freedom has improved under the New Dawn administration, measures should be in place to stem abuse.
Speaking during the Access to Information (ATI) Law Dialogue Platform Meeting in Lusaka Tuesday, Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana says government has enacted the law as demanded, and it is now time for citizens to utilise it.
President Hakainde Hichilema signed Access to Information Act into law on 22 December, saying the enactment of the legislation was a major milestone in the media sector and the country, as it would promote access to information by the media and other players.
