The Acton Institute for Policy Analysis Centre (AIPAC) is appalled by the discriminatory job advert published by Keda Zambia Ceramics Company Limited.

In a statement this morning, AIPAC Executive Director Solomon Ngoma said the advert, which stipulates specific gender, age, and marital status requirements, is a clear violation of human rights and goes against the principles of equality and fairness.

And Mr. Ngoma condemned the advert and demanded that Keda Zambia Ceramics Company Limited withdraws it immediately and apology for their discriminatory actions.

Mr. Ngoma further called on the relevant authorities, including the Zambia Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of Labour, to take immediate action against the company and ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.

He said the advert is a stark reminder of the lack of effective enforcement of laws and regulations aimed at protecting vulnerable groups from discrimination.

Mr. Ngoma noted that it is unacceptable that law enforcement agencies have failed to act against such blatant discrimination, and demanded that they take their responsibilities seriously.

“AIPAC will continue to advocate for a society that values equality, justice, and human rights for all. We urge all stakeholders to join us in condemning this discriminatory advert and demanding action from the relevant authorities.” Mr. Ngoma said
